When manufacturers introduce new equipment to the market, or modifying their existing product line, downloading and updating of libraries is required for all FluidCAD users. An automatic electronic update feature would be a very convenient way of updating the contents of each user’s libraries, and would avoid the need to post and download updated documents for all libraries separately. The above functionality would also allow designers and manufacturers to import any single element that is required for designing a part of the installation from the web site of Fluid Desk Sp. z o.o. or the producer.

Designers cooperating with FluidCAD users who have installed the free DBX module under AutoCAD are able to view drawings that contain FluidCAD objects (elements, dimensions, position numbers, information frames etc.). Still, they can neither make modifications to the properties of elements, nor can they display the material list. Such functionality can be provided by a simple program alternative to FluidCAD. With such an application, manufacturers who already use libraries prepared for FluidCAD could reach all designers who work routinely in AutoCAD.
